Description: |
Recorded live at Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires, on June 11, 1983. By this time Piazzolla was working with the quintet, however it appears that Piazzolla tried to recompose the Conjunto 9 (although not exactly) for this concert at Teatro Colon with the Philarmonic Orquestra. |
|
Style: |
The Nonet and the 'Italian' Period (1972-1978) The 'Classical' Piazzolla (All periods) |
|
Comments: |
The CD cover mislabeled tracks 7 and 8 as Adios Nonino and Adios Nonino (reprise) when in reality are the 2nd and 3rd movements of the Concerto for Bandoneon and Orquestra (this is also mislabeled as Concerto for Bandoneon, Piano, Strings, and Percussion, which is equivalent but the piece is better known otherwise)
